Turning the widget and chat on and off
The widget and the chat have separate switches - turning them off doesn't delete history.
The whole widget
In Widget appearance, the switch at the top: “Widget enabled on the website” or “Widget off - it is not shown”. A disabled widget disappears from your website, but the code can stay.
Chat and callback
In Widget appearance, at the top, the “What's on your site” block has two switches: Chat and Callback. You'll find the same switches at the top of the Website chat and Callback tabs - it's one setting, so it changes everywhere at once.
- Chat off: there's no chat button on your site.
- Callback off: the phone button disappears, and the chat and AI Assistant don't offer a call or a number field - when someone asks for contact, they say a team member will reply in the chat.
- Both off: the widget doesn't show on your site.
Turning off callback doesn't change your plan. If you pay for a plan with phone calls and don't use them, the Chat plan is cheaper - change it in Plan and billing.
Once turned off, visitors can't write or request a call, but your conversation history stays in the dashboard.
When the widget disappears on its own
- The free trial ended without buying a plan, or the plan was cancelled.
- The chat conversation limit ran out - then only the chat disappears. See Chat conversation limit.
- An automatic minute top-up failed. See Buying minutes.
